Quarto for research
Beginner-friendly tutorial on using Quarto, Markdown, and GitHub to share research openly as a website.
I am delivering an in-person workshop for the Department of Health and Community Sciences at the University of Exeter on 1 June 2026 (1–4 pm). The session introduces researchers to Quarto, GitHub, and Markdown as tools for sharing and organising research more openly and reproducibly.
All materials are being developed openly and will remain available online:
- Workshop site: https://pythonhealthdatascience.github.io/quarto-tutorial/
- Workshop site GitHub: https://github.com/pythonhealthdatascience/quarto-tutorial/
- Template/Codespace used in workshop: https://github.com/pythonhealthdatascience/quarto-template
The aim is to provide a simple, reusable starting point for building Quarto websites that can serve as research homepages, project sites, or documentation hubs.
